(there used to be a picture of a sports store window here)
Sports Stores be damned
It's in the noon day sun
the trips begun
upon the streets
til we tire our feet
no goal in mind
but we'll soon find
perhaps what we're looking for?
Twas not so long-
and a year has gone
she buys a glass
like in trips past
but there's no point
(like rolling a joint)
no longer one to buy for
Like the time we bought
some food for thought
when men were pigs
and got their digs
when I was sad
and she made me glad
and so the streets run on
Or when with school
she felt the fool
twas not for her
and I concurred
she'll find her way
if not today
but I believe she will
These paths of hearts
we know to start
with well-worn feet
we carve our street
and love is hard
but friendship's part
still makes it all worthwhile.

That was awesome. There do seem to be a lot of sports stores in the world don't there? I have to admit the whole thing made me teary, but in a good way. You're right, friends do make it all worth while.
