I thought The Punisher was decent. Not great but decent. But what was great about the film was Thomas Jane as Frank Castle. He was The Punisher, by the end of the film you knew he was a fucking bad ass among bad asses.
Well Aintitcool brings us word that Jane has dropped out of The Punisher 2 from Thomas Jane himself.

Bravo Mr. Jane, wish there was more people like you in Hollywood. I loved Jane as the Punisher but if the movie is going to be a piece of crap I'd just prefer it not to happen. Like League of Extraordinary Gentleman, love the concept, comic book, cast, director, sets and effects but the script was bad and even all of those things could not save it from being a bad movie. I wish Sean Connery had seen it like Jane does and said "I love the idea but I ain't making it unless it's right."
