Serenity DVD double dip

"I'll let you have it this time but if a three disc comes out before 2009, I'm gonna shoot ya."

Do you love Firefly/Serenity. Course you do because I don't believe that mentally insane retards are allowed access to computers and those are the only people who don't like Firefly/Serenity.

Well the dvd double dip has finally arrived. I saw this on www.dvdactive.com

Universal Home Video has sent over early details on a new two-disc collector's edition of Serenity which stars Nathan Fillion, and Alan Tudyk. This Joss Whedon directed sci-fi will be available to own from the 21st August, and should retail at around $26.98. The film itself will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1, and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. Universal has yet to reveal the extra material I'm afraid, but we'll bring you further details very shortly. Stay tuned.

Now while Universal hasn't said much on the extras I imagine it's goning to carry the extras that we already got and probably the rest of the extras that have been available to other parts of the world for a while. This for instance is the R4 (Australia) version of the dvd set available from February 2006.

Acclaimed cult writer Joss Whedon’s feature length follow up to his excellent Firefly series, Serenity, is due for a February 8th region four release. Unlike the R1, it will be housed inside a lovely tin that features the original theatrical artwork. The film will be presented in an anamorphic widescreen format with English audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. The disc will also contain supplementary materials exclusive to the region four disc including A Filmmakers Journey - Journey with Joss from Script to Screen, Joss Whedon Q&A Session - Filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney, Extended Scenes, Take a Walk on Serenity - Cast and Crew take us on a special tour of the Serenity ship and The Green Clan - Expose on Cinematographer Jack Green and his team. Additional extras include deleted scenes, outtakes, Future History - The Story of Earth That Was, What's In A Firefly, Re-lighting The Firefly, Joss Whedon Introduction, Feature Commentary and Easter Egg - We'll Have A Fruity Oaty Good Time.

Not to mention it came with better artwork then our region and in one of those neat tins.
