What can I say, it's a spiffy looking site that lets you transmit your blog into space, for free, using "a powerful deep space transmission dish." Yes, you too can communicate your miniscule and insignificant troubles and opinions to beings lightyears away.
So I went on the site, entered info about my blog, took notice of the disclaimer not to piss off the aliens, noticed that MindComet owns the BlogStar Network, as well as PayPerPost.com... promoting your own sites, eh guys? Good show! I declined to check the box that said "Yes, sign me up for Blogstar Network", as I assume I'm already a member, seeing as how I'm writing this post in the first place.
What can I say? It's a cute idea that our personal online "journals" and articles are being transmitted into the outer reaches of the galaxy. I actually preferred the "Space News" section, which had some interesting blogging-related news bites. I also liked the fact that they were featuring one of the blog links on the main page (although more than one would be even better- Blogger has it's own scrolling list, for instance). All in all, kinda fun.
